# Basics

Blended Runes brings a specific PvE and PvP Way into the Rune System to improve Character Stats in certain Situations.\

* Compared to Essence Runes the Blended Runes is triggered by Attacking the Opponent (Monster, Character) with a specific Chance and only for one Hit.
* Blended Runes are Character-Bound and not available to any other Character on your Account!
* Blended Runes are not applied for PvE and PvP at the same time! You need a different type of blended rune for PvP than for PvE

From the Beginning a Character has only 3 Blended Rune Slots

* To Increase the Capacity of Blended Runes a "Rune Slot Extender - Blended" has to be used. More Informations can be found here: [Rune Slot Extender](/content/systems/runes/blended-runes/rune-slot-extender.md)

There are different Types of Blended Runes which apply to different Targets

* Character
* Monster
* Yourself

While there is only one Blended Rune with the Target "Yourself", there are several runes for the other Types

There are 3 Ranks of Blended Runes:

* Level 1 
* Level 2
* Level 3

To Craft a Blended Rune Level 2 you need Blended Runes of the same Type on Level 1.

To Craft a Blended Rune Level 3 you need Blended Runes of the same Type on Level 2.

To equip Blended Runes you need AP and Materials

| AP                  | 50                   | 70                   | 90                   |
| Upgrade Core (High) | 10                   | 20                   | 30                   |
